Barcode Sticker Setting

Mike, who runs a retail business named “Retail Haven,” wants to create and customize barcode stickers for his products.

Step 1: Access the Barcode Sticker Settings Section #

    • Description: Provide a name for the sticker sheet setting.
    • Location: This field is at the top of the “Add barcode sticker setting” form.
    • Example: Mike names his setting “Product Labels.”
    • Action: Mike types “Product Labels” in the Sticker Sheet Setting Name field.
  2. Sticker Sheet Setting Description:
    • Description: Provide a description for the sticker sheet setting.
    • Location: This field is directly below the name field.
    • Example: Mike describes it as “Labels for retail products.”
    • Action: Mike types “Labels for retail products” in the Sticker Sheet Setting Description field.

Step 3: Select Continuous Feed or Rolls #

  1. Continuous Feed or Rolls:
    • Description: Select if you are using continuous feed or rolls for the sticker sheets.
    • Location: This option is located below the description field.
    • Example: Mike uses rolls for his stickers.
    • Action: Mike checks the “Continuous feed or rolls” box if applicable.

Step 4: Set Margins and Dimensions #

  1. Additional Top Margin (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the additional top margin for the sticker.
    • Location: This field is found in the middle of the form, on the left side.
    • Example: Mike sets a top margin of 0.1 inches.
    • Action: Mike types “0.1” in the Additional Top Margin field.
  2. Additional Left Margin (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the additional left margin for the sticker.
    • Location: This field is found in the middle of the form, on the right side.
    • Example: Mike sets a left margin of 0.1 inches.
    • Action: Mike types “0.1” in the Additional Left Margin field.
  3. Width of Sticker (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the width of the sticker.
    • Location: This field is on the left side, under the top margin field.
    • Example: Mike’s stickers are 2 inches wide.
    • Action: Mike types “2” in the Width of Sticker field.
  4. Height of Sticker (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the height of the sticker.
    • Location: This field is on the right side, under the left margin field.
    • Example: Mike’s stickers are 1 inch tall.
    • Action: Mike types “1” in the Height of Sticker field.
  5. Paper Width (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the width of the paper.
    • Location: This field is on the left side, under the width of sticker field.
    • Example: Mike uses paper that is 8.5 inches wide.
    • Action: Mike types “8.5” in the Paper Width field.
  6. Paper Height (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the height of the paper.
    • Location: This field is on the right side, under the height of sticker field.
    • Example: Mike uses paper that is 11 inches tall.
    • Action: Mike types “11” in the Paper Height field.

Step 5: Configure Sticker Layout #

  1. Stickers in One Row:
    • Description: Enter the number of stickers per row.
    • Location: This field is in the center of the form.
    • Example: Mike sets up 3 stickers per row.
    • Action: Mike types “3” in the Stickers in One Row field.
  2. Distance Between Two Rows (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the distance between two rows of stickers.
    • Location: This field is on the left side, under the paper width field.
    • Example: Mike sets the distance to 0.2 inches.
    • Action: Mike types “0.2” in the Distance Between Two Rows field.
  3. Distance Between Two Columns (In Inches):
    • Description: Enter the distance between two columns of stickers.
    • Location: This field is on the right side, under the paper height field.
    • Example: Mike sets the distance to 0.2 inches.
    • Action: Mike types “0.2” in the Distance Between Two Columns field.
  4. Number of Stickers per Sheet:
    • Description: Enter the total number of stickers per sheet.
    • Location: This field is at the bottom center of the form.
    • Example: Mike calculates that there are 30 stickers per sheet.
    • Action: Mike types “30” in the Number of Stickers per Sheet field.

Final Step: Save and Set as Default #

  1. Set as Default:
    • Description: Check this option if you want to set this sticker setting as the default.
    • Location: This option is at the bottom of the form.
    • Example: Mike wants this to be the default setting.
    • Action: Mike checks the “Set as Default” box.
  2. Save Settings:
    • Description: Save the new barcode sticker settings.
    • Location: The “Save” button is at the bottom of the form.
    • Example: After entering all the details, Mike saves the settings.
    • Action: Mike clicks the “Save” button.
